Brett (James) Case, PhD

Instructor in Medicine

Brett is a senior postdoc in the Diamond Lab who originally focused on the IFIT family of antiviral proteins. However, due his prior experience and expertise in coronavirus biology learned during his PhD training at Vanderbilt University, he quickly pivoted to SARS-CoV-2 upon its emergence in 2020. Since that time, he has led and contributed to numerous studies ranging from the discovery and characterization of SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, miniproteins, and other therapeutics. Originally from Pulaski, Tennessee, Brett enjoys everything involving sports and the outdoors.
