Emma Winkler did her undergraduate training at Indiana University and matriculated to the Washington University Medical Scientist Training Program in 2015. As a graduate student the Diamond Lab, she initially studied the impact of the intestinal microbiome on systemic immunity against Chikungunya virus. With the emergence of COVID-19, she evaluated mouse models of SARS-CoV-2 and the contribution of Fc effector functions in the efficacy of monoclonal antibody therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2. She is now pursuing a research-track Internal Medicine residency at Stanford University.
