Lucas is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a BS in chemistry and mathematics. As an MSTP/immunology graduate student co-mentored by Michael Diamond and Daved Fremont, Lucas studies host-virus interactions from a structural perspective, with a focus on coronaviruses and alphaviruses.
